Honestly, my favourite is the classic series (2-3-EX-4/F), but you'd probably hate them cause they are very rough in everything, being over 20 years old at this point, and the translations only go up to 4 anyway, so, if you really wanted to play something in english, then i'd say play Alpha Gaiden, easily the best translated SRW in general, J is also decent, or, you can also use some translation guides, i'd suggest MX, UX and L if you are down to reading on a browser while playing
